Quality and Service

It matters to us

Hello again everyone.

In our last post we spoke about Indo-Western design, and what we feel makes it so beautiful. For this post, we want to share with you how we arrive at the different designs you see in our online boutique and then bring them to life.

For us, it all starts with us researching and following trends in the world of fashion; especially Indo-Western fashion. We are continually looking for inspiration, and this may come from many sources (fashion events, talking with our designers and manufacturers, for example).

Once we have some ideas in mind we ask our designers to build on these and come up with samples. We then fine tune the idea, maybe changing the colour, fabric or embroidery to improve the finished garment.

The quality and suitability of fabrics used is very important to us, so we use different silks, chiffons for many of our garments, as the choice of fabric can make a big difference to the way the item looks, flows and feels when worn.

Carefully selected manufacturers, working closely with our designers, ensures consistency of quality in the full production runs. Our production runs are very small and made especially for us (our production runs for a particular design are typically around 15 to 20 garments across a range of sizes). Some items are one-offs, so completely unique. This intimate design and production process and limited numbers helps to ensure that our quality remains very high.

We believe that the way we work with our suppliers should be fair and sustainable, so we pay on time and maintain close working relationships built on trust and mutual benefit. By working in this way, we feel that you, the customer will also benefit in the design and quality of the garments and service we deliver.

We want you to receive your item the way we originally conceived it, so we hold stock in the UK. This way we are able to check every item carefully before we send it to you. If we are not happy with something, we will not send it out.

The image above shows a chiffon embroidered jacket over a western style dress. This is a good example of Indo-Western design, where the styling and embroidery of the jacket picks up Indian design flows. This combination is available in a range of sizes, but is limited to 10 pieces in total. We hope you like it.

Well that’s all for now. Next time we’ll talk about wearing Indo-Western garments, and offer some tips for those less familiar with this style.

Thanks for reading!
